Isn’t this such a sweet moment? And below, the little guy was yawning and yawning, but not doing much sleeping. I think he wanted to be alert for his first photo session.
He tried to stay awake the whole time I was there, but I held out and got a few sleepy pics!

This is my Sadie and this picture just sums up how I was feeling when I took it. I was just so amazed by her that I had to hold her head in my hands and smile in wonder at the this little person.

I just spent four days soaking in lots of information, but very little sun in Vegas. I was at the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) annual convention checking out all the new products for photographers as well as seeing lots of talks by inspirational and famous photographers (not always the same). 
Here are a few snaps–and then back to work for me!
This is what it looked like right outside my hotel. I only got outside two times while I was there. The rest of the time was spent holed up in cold air-conditioned rooms.
A big part of the convention was the tradeshow with tons of vendors from the big ones of Canon and Nikon to lots of smaller ones. At every booth there were speakers. This guy was instructing in some very specific posing. A bit much for me, but fun to watch anyway.
And finally, I did a model shoot around the hotel.
I got to visit an amazing location today–Savannah Dhu to photography a bit of a family reunion held in honor of a 70 year old birthday. I really only got to scratch the surface of all the cool locations on this dreary day. Here are a few (just a few) of the crew that got together.

I was so happy to get to see this sweet baby girl. She took quite a bit to get to sleep, but I didn’t mind because I got to hold and rock her a bit which I loved.
This picture happened at the end of the session when she finally fell asleep. I didn’t dare take her diaper off at this point. Look how new she is.
And finally, sometimes you just have to dress up the baby in something homemade with ribbons and all. Notice the little mark on her chin from some strong pacifier sucking?
And I just realised that I didn’t post any color photos of this little lady. In case you are wondering she has brown hair!
