I had a busy weekend with a wedding on Saturday and a newborn session on Sunday.

The wedding was an outdoor affair that did get rained on, but I knew Anne and Kurt could handle a little rain, especially after knowing how many kids they were having participate in their wedding.

I think I have more kid getting ready pictures than bride getting ready pictures. I love this one.

It got a bit crowded in the bedrooms. I love this moment before Anne was ready to put her dress on and one of the kids was relaxing by the dress.

I almost missed this shot, but luckily someone spotted the moment and called me in. Whew.

I usually don’t share the formal pictures on the blog, but I do take them. They may not be too formal–I try for as natural as possible–here is one of Kurt and Anne that I really liked. It has just the right amount of simple and natural. Stay tuned for a slideshow from the wedding.

And now for a super duper adorable newborn that I photographed on Sunday.

See what I mean? This little guy was two weeks old. His big sister seems to be having lots of fun with him.

And since he just slept and slept through almost anything I even got to put him in a baby doll bed outside. Notice how he already doesn’t really fit?

I got an email the other day from an email group that I am a part of praising a photographer that doesn’t charge professional prices. This photographer took your pictures and put them on a disc for you to print at Walmart for a super low price. The email went on to complain about the inflated print prices that professional photographers charge and how “we” are ripping people off. This hurt a bit, and I felt it was time for education.

I am sure my clients can see the difference between my skills and prints, but I still feel inclined to share some information.

A wonderful group of photographers have put together a resource for you about Child Photography. I hope the slideshow for Erica and Adam conveys just how much fun they had on their wedding. At the end of the reception at Justin’s Grill I heard the DJ comment on how much dancing there was despite it being a day wedding. AND, there was a lot of laughing. You may notice a laughing theme going on in many of the images.

This image might be too small here for you to really enjoy all of the different things going on in it, but I love all of the activity. How the older cousin is looking at the younger cousin. The funny expressions. Fun, fun.
