Very Natural. This little guy did his whole session in his diaper (or less) and I loved it. Despite an ear infection he was just so much fun squealing and really enjoying our little session.

This was so much fun. I love just letting kids be kids and seeing how much fun they are having. And does it help when mom brings along some super cute tutu’s? Yes it does, even if they didn’t stay on the whole time.

I told you I had a lot to share from this engagement session! Brace yourself.

This will really be a wonderful wedding that is going to be special since Lindsey is my step sister-in-law and my children are going to be a part of her wedding. Sadie will be a flower girl while Echo is moving up to a junior bridesmaid. I am thrilled that Lindsey has chosen them to be a part of her wedding, as well as having me photograph the wedding.

Charles came up with this location and it is one of my favorites from the session.

And here I funked it up a little. Most of my images are really minimally processed, but with engagement sessions and with some wedding images I like to play around a bit.

I’m not sure what I said here, but I thought this one was a funny one to end with.

I will have to make two Arizona posts because I got so many cute engagement pictures of Lindsey and Charles.

This has got to be one of my favorite images from the day. I just love the emotion in it and that is what I center my photography around.

However I can also appreciate a nice classic shot like this one.

They wanted some water shots which isn’t always easy in Arizona. I love the duck in this one!

And finally a gorgeous one from the resort at sunset where the wedding is going to take place.

I’ll be heading out to Arizona tomorrow for an engagement session. It will be a quick visit with a lot of time on the plane, but I am really looking forward to it. Today, I have been designing wedding albums and so thought I would design a page from my summer trip to Boulder, Colorado.

I once read an interview with an author that said that when she had writers block she would look through old photographs (hers or strangers) to get inspiration. She re-told how she enjoyed looking at the images and trying to think about who those people were and what their stories were.

Here are some images from a recent session that could tell some stories.

Having fun waiting for the school bus.

Kristie and Parry were married at Wysockis Lake Park Manor Home. It rained on and off all day, but the skies were clear for the outdoor ceremony.

I just love weddings like Kristie and Parry’s. They had a ton of little touches that made the day unique to them. For starters Kristie wore bright red shoes which matched the color of her bouquet as well as the Harley colors of their wedding. When we ended their engagement session at Dinosaur BBQ I suggested doing wedding party photos at the Syracuse Harley Store and Parry made sure it happened. Finally, during the reception they had their favorite local band Los Blancos play. This was my first time seeing Los Blancos and I thought they were fabulous. I have used one of their songs as the song for the slideshow, but it was hard deciding on one.

I met Kristie and some friends downtown at the Salon in the morning. Kristie is a total natural beauty. See what I mean…

Kristie and Parry decided to see each other before the wedding. This gave us time to go to the Harley store and do formals early so that after the ceremony they went straight into the reception. Here she is before Parry gifted her a necklace. The shadows were formed by the videographers lights. This was my first time working with Vasillis from Vasillas World Video and I am excited to see his footage.

Gotta love the vintage motorcycles at the Harley Store.

Parry was looking pretty relaxed before the ceremony.
