I’ve been photographing lots of families recently. This session was a challenge because there were so many cool spots in the house that I wanted to photography, but with an 18 month old and a 5 month old you can’t always get the kids to go where you want them to! Luckily, they were really cute.

And I did get to use this cool chair for this cutie.

Who can resist a baby in a tie! The colors of this room worked perfect.

Love this one. I feel like this image could be the inspiration for a short story. It asks so many questions–like why did the photographer make me sit here!

The house was all ready for the holidays.

I did take some traditional (and not so traditional) family shots which I can’t wait to share with the family, but for the blog how about something a bit different. I love how the ceiling looks here.

We started this session off with a sweet little tea party.

for my wonderful job that allows me to visit and document children as they grow over the years. This was my third time photographing this family and I am so happy that we got to include mom in a few of these pictures. I just loved the light coming into the room at this moment, and somehow even though it was the very end of the session and the kids were getting hungry and tired this little moment happened. YEAH!

And this funny one that happened before mom and finished doing her hair. Still so cute.

I got the chance to photograph two families last week that I have been photographing since I relocated my business to NY almost two and a half years ago. I just love the opportunity to go back and see how the kids and families have grown.

Here are the adorable twins two years ago.

And here they are today! Now, they are a little bit harder to photograph together…

I love it when I can notice the little things that stay the same as they grown. Like this little look here…

It was a wonderful wedding filled with family and joy. The wedding took place at Greystone Castle with a reception at the Linklean House in Caz.

Sara was pretty relaxed while getting ready and I think this portrait captures her fun personality.

I got to ride with the bridal party to the wedding. I love this shot of the back of the bus.

I try to make my formal portraits as informal as possible. While I was photographing the girls the guys were all lined up against the wall waiting and I just loved how it looked. So, I turned my light around and snap–the Guys!

This was the only wedding this season where the cake got smashed! I almost didn’t catch it I was caught so off guard and well, don’t ya just love the expression on Sara’s grandma in the back. Sara did get Hayden back which I believe you will see in the slideshow.

First a little bit of real life.This was taken at the very end of the session and probably will remind them most of this time in their lives.

The kids could sit still pretty well.

Okay last one. I have to save a few to surprise mom and dad with.

I love this one of her right in the center of the frame. I normally try not to include toys, but I like it in this one. And, she could have her first tooth by now what with all the chewing and drooling that I saw.

Well–this time it is more like blog issues. I have so many cute images to share, but my blog is not letting me upload them! I’ve spend as much time as I can on it for today, but I hope to address this soon. To those of you waiting for a little look just hold on a bit longer.
