I’ve re-named this guy Mr. Cuteness. I photographed him as a newborn and it was so much fun to come back and see how he has grown.

Tickle, tickle…

No crying! Sad, but he still look soooooooooo cute.

Martin & Susie are Married!!|Fayetteville, Ny wedding photographer

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

Susie and Martin got married last weekend–they were my last wedding to photograph of the year. The ceremony took place at Holy Cross Church in Dewitt with a reception at Fayetteville’s  Wellington House. In between  there was a break for some college football watching–both families are big fans.

Yeah–Married!

IMG_5036

The ceremony was very lovely.

Susie and Martin had family come from all over the world to attend their wedding. The reception had lots of fun moments–a 17 minute slideshow of the couple growing up, a sing-along started by the father-of-the bride  and continued by the grooms family singing Danny Boy. The couple started dancing to a waltz played by the father and brother of the groom.

This portrait of Susie was taken upstairs at the Wellington house–gorgeous!

Fly baby| Fayetteville, NY family photographer

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

Ahh, I am so excited for Thanksgiving tomorrow. It has to be one of my favorite holidays. I love the whole getting together, eating and drinking lots of good stuff, and hanging out with friends and family with no gift pressure. Plus, the Thanksgiving weekend is always when I start listening to holiday music. I have quite a collection–and this year I plan to give out a CD of some of my favorite holiday songs to some lucky blog readers.

But, for now onto this ridiculously cute family. Gotta keep toddlers busy at their sessions and good for us this dad was willing to play.

IMG_4171

Can you believe the eyes on this baby girl? I could have just eaten her up!

IMG_2427

Another fun part of toddler sessions–playing peek-a-boo with various pieces of furniture.

IMG_2489

More baby!

IMG_4065

For all those dog lovers out there check out this handsome fellow.

IMG_2450

I think this would make a great card–isn’t it sweet.

IMG_2509

I think these two look so much alike.

Thanks so much for having me out–and Happy Thanksgiving!

Twilight fans..|Manlius, NY baby photographer

Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

Twilight fans check out the fangs on this cutie. Love it.

I was going to climb in bed early tonight. It has been a long weekend with an all day wedding on Saturday and then two sessions on Sunday. But, seeing as how this is a short week I decided to come down to my office and get this blog post up. This was such a sweet family and I hate for them to wait any longer to see some of their images.

IMG_2098

This one makes me smile—Future rock star?

IMG_2184

You wouldn’t guess it from this image, but this little guy was a little off for our session. I could tell that he was normally a very happy baby, but he was often on the verge of tears. We all found out later he had an ear infection.

Thanks for this smile little guy.

IMG_2069

His big brother was so much fun to play with.

IMG_2026

Okay, perhaps it is because I am tired, but I decided that this image really made me laugh and I wanted to share it.

Don’t the kids look totally thrilled with me? I wonder how I got so boring?

IMG_3882

Luckily they (or I) warmed up.

IMG_3897

Thanks so much for having me out. I had a blast playing with your kids.

Babies and Dogs| Cazenovia, NY baby photographer

Friday, November 20th, 2009

It has been busy here in a wonderful way. Lots of sessions, a bit of stress and late nights, but I’m not complaining. I am feeling thankful everyday for the business that is coming my way and of course the opportunity to be welcomed into so many homes to create portraits for such great families.

If you have a baby and a dog it is usually a good bet to let them get photographed together—nothing cuter.

I mean look at these two–notice the little protective paw over the baby sort of like a seat belt.

IMG_1905e

Coming in close for a kiss or a lick.

IMG_3627

Babies with mom and dad are pretty cute too.

IMG_1881

IMG_1912

What a sweetie. I am always so excited when I get to photograph babies and this little guy was no exception. His parents were just over the moon about him–and can you blame them.

Thanks so much for having me out to photograph you little boy.

Almost…|Syracuse, NY family photographer

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

You know how I love the laughing pictures…and the eyes closed laughing shots are one of my favorites.

This is the oldest girl.

IMG_3411

The newly minted middle sister.

IMG_3397

And the adorable baby sister.

IMG_1803

The baby didn’t quite get my jokes and try as we all did we were unable to squeeze out any of her new smiles.

IMG_3368

The big sisters tried really hard and came close….

IMG_3513

but in the end I had to settle for sleeping pictures. I just adore this one. As you know I have two girls– and looking at this sweet trio almost makes me want to have another.

Look at these two babies–one in the belly one on the belly. I just love this shot.

IMG_1765

This little baby will arrive soon–due in three weeks.

IMG_1660

Mom is looking fabulous–just like a model for Fit Pregnancy.

IMG_1708

I think this little guy will make a great big brother.

IMG_3288

Congrats–can’t wait to come back and photograph the new baby.

Firecracker!|Syracuse, NY child photographer

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

It is that time of year where if you haven’t already scheduled a session there are no openings for sessions before the holidays. I hate having to turn people down, but it happens. Last year this family contacted me and unfortunately I wasn’t able to fit their little 5 year old in. Well, I am so happy they called again this year and I was able to photograph this adorable 6 year old.

IMG_3056

Her mom told me she was a bit of a firecracker before the session–and she sure did shine bright.

IMG_3085

IMG_1614

She was so much fun to photograph, but busy busy busy….

IMG_1572

I loved the light here, but in order to get this shot we ended up walking into a small swamp which I didn’t really notice until our shoes were covered in mud.

IMG_3133

At the end of this session I saw an adorable kid size Carhartt coat hanging by the door and asked if we could take a few images with it on. Love it.

IMG_3177

Thanks so much for having me out—perfect location and subject.
