This is going to be a bit of a long post because Jen and Joe deserve it. They had the perfect outdoor wedding despite wind, rain, and cold.

Everything took place at Jen’s parent’s house.

Her dad hung her wedding dress up next to her first dress, which I thought was perfect.

Joe’s sister help groom up the groom before he headed out to the barn with the rest of the guys.

All ready!

It was raining out so I kept the girls on the front porch for some pre-wedding photos.

The guys were out at the most amazing barn you will every see–treasures were every where, and many were moved out of the barn and to various places for the wedding.

The guests arrived on buses.

The guests then got to walk across the yard to the ceremony site.

Hot apple cider, wraps and umbrellas were available for the guests.

The trails around the ceremony site were lined with twinkle lights and tea lights.

The tent was heated and cozy. And they had pie which looked so yummy.

This was a very detail heavy wedding, so another post in the future will be in order. You have to see all of the DIY touches from this wedding.

I love coming out to photograph this family. They have had sessions done in every season, and we usually just focus on a few things that they kids like to do.

This time it was mostly some baseball playing.

But there was also lots of time to be silly.

Just got to document another slice of life, and I loved every minute of it. This family of 6 was so much fun.

Congratulations to Megan and Thomas who were married on Sept. 10th in Lowville on a beautiful sunny day.

When I arrived at Meg’s parents house in Glenfield, NY I was the first person to arrive. The bride was still at the salon, so I had a few minutes to take in some of the amazing natural details that I found.

Meg was surrounded by her family while getting ready, and I couldn’t help but getting distracted by her sweet nieces.

Meg was a calm and relaxed bride.

I loved photographing at Tug Hill Vineyards. Such a beautiful place for a wedding or reception.

So, it has been awhile since I made an update to my Travel Tuesday feature. In case you forgot, I was slowly getting through sharing some photos from my amazing trip to France back in June.  My last entry I was describing my fear of heights, and the cable car I traveled in.

Once I decided that I had had enough of the cable cars, we had to hike back down the mountain.

And, this is what I love about France, and so many places in Europe–little cafe’s in all the right places. Before hiking down we stopped for a sandwich and some water. Wine was actually considerably cheaper than soda. And, even though I could have used a glass of wine to ease my still shaking knees, I was already feeling a little light-headed, so water it was.

The hike was easy on the eyes, and not too hard on the knees since it was mostly flat until the little mountain train we took down the steep part.

I was in France, and I couldn’t get it together to wear something cute on my alps hike. I mean, what was I thinking? Why didn’t anyone buy me a cute little JCrew dress with stylish hiking heels?

And this is actually a glacier. I would have never guessed that I was looking down at a glacier if it wasn’t a difficult to get to tourist site where you could actually walk inside the glacier. All the way down the stairs you would see signs about  what year each new set of stairs was built to show how quickly the glacier was melting.

Eventually, I’ll share some photos from Paris, but next up is the Burgundy wine region. Yum.

I am just on a roll today. One session blogged this morning, 3rd and 6th grade parent visitation at noon, and now another cute session blogged.

I might even get a travel Tuesday post up later on.

Check out these two boys. They were so sweet together.

Had a lovely walk in the woods with two adorable girls. Someday I will get around to blogging some before and after sessions that show how little these girls were the first time I photographed them. It is just so special to be hired year after year to document their childhood.
