2 Ithaca Engagement sessions

I love heading out to sessions in new locations. There is a lovely level of comfort showing up for sessions at locations that I am familiar with, but it is just so exciting checking out new spots. Last weekend I was lucky enough to have two engagement sessions out in Ithaca, NY.

First up Ellen and Matthew are engaged! We met up at La Tourelle, the location for their wedding next year. It was a cold morning, but they were such good sports.

They brought their amazing three legged dog with them and she totally charmed me. Isn’t this a funny shot–I didn’t actually know she was looking back up at them, but I just love it.

We bonded so I had to give her a little mini-session.

After La Tourre we headed down to The Commons, a pedestrian only street,  to wander around a bit.

Ellen and Matthew were so easy going –even though Matthew did mention that he had never had this many pictures taken of him total in his whole life.

Finally we ended the session at a record shop. Both Ellen and Matt know a ton about music and I thought this was a great idea.

Next up, I was off to the Ithaca Farmer’s Market  for my second Engagement session. I always ask my couples to think of the things that they like to do together so that I can include that somehow in their sessions.

This was my first time at the Ithaca Farmer’s Market. Still cold, but fun.

These two are getting married next month. Funny side note S and I were wearing the exact same sweater (well different color) the day of the session. This sweater is like over 5 years old–not sold anymore–and I have never even seen anyone else with it. Crazy.

Guess who?

And since I did a mini dog session earlier in the morning, I decided to do a mini session with the heron that keep following us around during my second session.

Can’t wait to get back to Ithaca.
