This session took place last week on a day with snowflakes falling and dark dark clouds.

This was what the newborn was doing when I got there. This was my first shot of the session.

Then after a little time with her adorable big sister….

and a feeding she was awake for a long time.Luckily, she was a happy awake newborn so I got lots of cute shots, but after awhile we all really wanted to get just a few sleepy newborn pics. This is the nature of newborn sessions. I go with the flow, but if the baby does not want to nap I pull out lots of tricks to try to get it to fall asleep.

Finally, the little cutie let me take a few sleepy shots.
