Laura’s family| Syracuse, NY family photographer
I was really excited to be able to help a fellow photographer get some images of her own family that included her. Laura runs a great business in Canandaigua, NY specializing in photographing high-school seniors. I spent Valentine’s Day morning roaming around the college where her husband works, daughter attends, and where she and her husband met–pretty cool.
They brought their dog along who was very adorable..and strong.
I tried to get as many shots of Laura and her husband as I could. Love the laugh.
Her kids were great and easy to work with. I’m sure their mom has taken their photos a million times, but I just wouldn’t know how to work if I didn’t get some of just the kids.
Love the footwear choices.
So sweet-love that kiss.
I knew that this little girl had had been trained well since she didn’t once flash a “school smile” during our session.
The light is this part of the room was just great. I totally would have overlooked it if Laura’s oldest hadn’t just decided to sit there. Perfect.
This has to be my favorite shot–I knew when dad peeked out behind the mask that this was what it needed to make the image work. Doesn’t everyone what a family shot like this?
And a cool wall of paint tubs makes a fun background. I especially like the poster to the left and had to include him in a few of the shots.
Very serious.
Like mother like daughter.
Again, I’m having fun using the unique backgrounds in the art building on campus.
Laura, thank you so much for inviting me out to photograph your family. It was a pleasure.
